This blog is dedicated to Moose and all the animals who for no fault of their own have not found a loving home for life. Moose was with our family for 12 years. He is now gone but will never be forgotten. I adopted Moose in the early 90s from Killeen Animal Control. He was recovering from having his back leg amputated at the El Centro Vet Clinic in Killeen. He had been there over 30 days. His original owner had gone on vacation and left Moose and his brother tied in the backyard. They shared a doghouse. Someone was supposed to check on them daily but did not. They got their chains tangled and it killed his brother. The chain got wraped around Moose's leg. They stay like that for some days till a neighbor heard Moose cry and looked over the fence and saw his tail move. Animal Control was called but because of his size an ambulance was dispated and he was taken to El Centro Vet Clinic. His leg was amputated and that is where I met him. The owner was charged with cruelty to animals and I adopted Moose.
